Sarasota city parks offering on-line activities

SARASOTA –– The City of Sarasota Parks & Recreation District is posting daily at-home crafts, health & wellness tips, contests and more on social media. Instead of doing in-person events for the spring season staff is doing virtual ones. Here’s the list of current at-home Spring Projects & Contests.

SALT DOUGH EGG DECORATING CONTEST
Learn how to make a salt dough egg and then compete in our Salt Dough Egg Decorating Contest.
RULES TO ENTER: Make a salt dough egg, decorate your egg, and take a picture. Post your picture or video on the “Salt Dough Egg Decorating Contest” post on the City of Sarasota Parks & Recreation District Facebook page no later than ‪6 p.m. by Wednesday, April 8, to be entered to win a fun basket. The Easter Bunny will be picking a few of his favorite decorated eggs.

SUNDAY BEST PET COSTUME CONTEST
Dress your pet in their Sunday best and compete in our Sunday Best Pet Costume Contest.
RULES TO ENTER: To participate, dress your pet in his/her Sunday best and take a picture or video. Post your picture or video on the “Sunday Best Pet Costume Contest” post on the City of Sarasota Parks & Recreation District Facebook Page no later than 5 p.m. by Friday, April 10. You will be entered to win a prize from a local pet store business. The Easter Bunny will be picking his favorite picture or video.
