Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court Karen Rushing announced Wednesday afternoon that suspensions of jury service was being extended pursuant to an order from the Florida Supreme Court.
In response to the new Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order 20-17 extending jury suspensions through April 17, 2020, anyone with a summons for jury duty dated between March 16, 2020, and April 17, 2020, is not required to go to court as jury trials during this time have been cancelled.
