VENICE –– Chalk up another victim to the COVID-19 pandemic, or perhaps, seizing an opportunity.
Drinkwear manufacturer Tervis Tumbler is making plans to sell its headquarters and manufacturing facility in North Venice.
Both the Sarasota Herald Tribune and the Observer newspapers reported news of the impending listing of the properties later this month, citing a press release from the company.
The company has no plans to leave Sarasota County however the papers reported.
Like many companies, Tervis had its employees working remotely to contain the spread of the virus.
“When Tervis went remote due to COVID-19, we learned some valuable lessons,” Tervis President Rogan Donelly said in the release both papers reported. “Our team members proved to be efficient and productive working from home. And more importantly, they were happy.”
The company is reportedly seeking two sites in Sarasota County for its headquarters and manufacturing facility.
