SARASOTA –– The Sarasota County Health Department will open test sites for the COVID-19 coronavirus at two locations in mid and south county later this week.
One site will open Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Laurel Civic Association, 509 Collins Road, Laurel. The other site will open Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heron Creek Middle School, 6501 W. Price Blvd., North Port.
Both locations are drive-thru testing sites and an appointment is necessary. Appointments can be made by calling 941-861-2883.
This community based COVID-19 testing is for anyone who is currently experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) or who works in a health care setting.
